Best AI sales roleplay software to train your teams: 8 solutions compared

To build a shortlist of AI roleplay software (practice conversations with a simulated counterpart), you need to compare tools that differ in audience, languages and hosting. This page presents eight solutions, read on their public websites on 7 October 2026.

This is not a ranking. What "best" means depends on your case, so no winner is named here. We publish AI-Coaching, one of the eight solutions, in the same format as the others, in alphabetical order.

Transparency: we publish one of the compared solutions

AI-Coaching is published by VEONUM (Rennes, France), which also runs this website. To limit bias we apply three rules: an identical format for every solution, alphabetical order, and an explicit note of what is not publicly stated, including for AI-Coaching.

Information about other vendors consists of their own statements, read on their public pages. Sources are listed at the end of the page, and the approach is detailed in the "Methodology and last update" section.

Summary comparison table as of 7 October 2026

"Not publicly stated" means the information is absent from the pages we read, not that the feature does not exist. Certifications are those the vendors display: we have not audited them.

How to choose: six criteria

  • Realism: replay your trickiest scenario on each tool, with the same reviewer.
  • Depth of feedback: a bare score or a detailed report per skill? Can a manager read it in five minutes?
  • Languages: the ones your teams actually speak, accents and industry vocabulary included.
  • Data and hosting: location, language model used, local installation possible or not.
  • Integrations: LMS, SSO, CRM, and the real state of each connector.
  • Price: exact scope of the quote (users, voice, languages, duration).

Our checklist for choosing an AI coaching platform details these criteria. To compare two tools in depth, see for instance the Second Nature alternative page.

Common mistakes when reading a vendor comparison

  • Treating results figures as facts. Gains announced by vendors are their own statements; ask for the method and the source.
  • Counting languages. A long list says nothing about quality in yours.
  • Concluding a feature does not exist because it is missing from a page.
  • Comparing quotes with different scopes.
  • Skipping the trial. A fifteen-minute test on a real case teaches more than a table.
  • Reading a vendor-published comparison uncritically, this one included. Cross-check with vendor sites and your own trials.

One more point of method: AI roleplay and call analysis tools do not meet the same need. Our guide AI roleplay or sales call analysis helps you choose the tool family before the product.

Specifics for French teams

Language. Check the French actually held in speech: register, sector vocabulary, expected level of politeness. A French test on a business case beats a list of languages.

Data. Ask where conversations and voice recordings are processed, which language model is called and which subprocessors are involved. AI-Coaching allows cloud or local hosting and a choice of model; other vendors state hosting in the European Union.

Employee representation and funding. Depending on your organisation, informing or consulting staff representatives may be needed before deploying a simulation tool, and training funding follows its own rules. Have your legal or training department confirm these points. For an overview of platforms, see our AI training and coaching platform page.

Methodology and last update

Last check: 7 October 2026. We chose essential, relevant, verifiable and representative criteria for a buyer: target audience, languages, text and voice, hosting and data, LMS integration, public pricing.

Selection and order. Eight AI roleplay solutions whose public websites allow a fact check. The list is not exhaustive. The order is alphabetical and unrelated to any preference. No score or ranking is assigned.

Sources. Every piece of information about a third party comes from a public page of the vendor, cited at the end of the page with its date, and is presented as that vendor's statement. Performance figures, customer references and third-party prices are not reproduced. Information about AI-Coaching comes from the publisher of this website.

Limits. Offers change: information may be outdated or incomplete. If you spot an error, or if you are a vendor and want a correction, write to us through the request a demo page or by e-mail to contact@ai-coaching.fr, and we will check and correct it promptly.

Frequently asked questions

What is the best AI roleplay software for sales teams?
There is no best software in absolute terms. The right choice depends on your languages, voice needs, data constraints, integrations and budget. Shortlist two or three solutions, have each play the same difficult scenario and compare realism and the quality of the report.
What is the difference between AI roleplay software and a general assistant like ChatGPT?
A general assistant can play a role if you ask it to. Dedicated software usually adds structured scenarios, configurable counterparts, a report per skill, team tracking, sharing and data options. Check these points with each vendor, because they vary from one tool to another.
What budget should I plan for an AI roleplay platform?
Most vendors on this page do not publish amounts, or only a partial grid. We use no third-party price. Request quotes on an identical scope: number of users, duration, languages, voice included or not. Then compare what is actually included in each offer.
Are there French or European solutions?
Yes. AI-Coaching is published by VEONUM in Rennes. muchbetter.ai presents itself as French on its website, and several vendors state hosting in the European Union, such as Retorio or Synthesia. Vendor origin and hosting location are separate criteria: check both.
Is a free AI roleplay enough for a team?
To discover the approach, yes: several vendors offer a trial or free tier, including AI-Coaching with a demo that needs no account. For a team, check volume limits, per-user tracking, reporting, sharing and data options, which often belong to paid plans.
Do I need a CRM or LMS integration?
It depends on your use. An LMS link (SCORM, for example) supports tracking if your training is already managed there. A CRM link mostly helps build scenarios from real opportunities. List your needs, then ask each vendor which connectors are actually delivered.
